OUR PROMISE
We promise to know our students by name, celebrate their gifts, and create a community where they feel safe to take risks, try new things, and become who they are meant to be.
Because education is not simply about preparing students for the next grade. It is about preparing them for life.
THE GREYSON DIFFERENCE
Academic excellence and creative expression, side by side.
Small Class Sizes
No more than 12 students in grades K–5 and 14 in grades 6–8, so every child is truly known.
Community & Belonging
Students, families, and board members work together to build a community where everyone feels valued.
Arts-Integrated Learning
Visual arts, music, theatre, and movement are woven into the fabric of the school day — not treated as an extra.
Leadership Opportunities
From our youngest learners to our oldest students, every child has room to lead and grow in confidence.
The Studio Model
Students learn through inquiry, collaboration, and authentic, real-world experiences.
Daily Greyson Gatherings
A whole-school morning tradition, plus two daily FAB Studio experiences for elementary students.

GET TO KNOW THE FOUNDER
Stephen Atchison
Stephen Atchison is the founder of The Greyson Fine Arts School and a lifelong educator with more than 20 years of experience serving students and families in a variety of educational roles in both public and private school settings. Throughout his career, he has worked as an elementary and middle school teacher, assistant principal, media specialist, literacy coach, and instructional leader, giving him a well-rounded understanding of what helps children thrive both academically and personally.
Stephen created The Greyson Fine Arts School from a simple belief: every child deserves a place where they feel seen, valued, and inspired to learn. By blending rigorous academics with meaningful experiences in visual arts, music, theater, and dance, he is passionate about creating a school where creativity is not an extra, but is at the heart of learning.
As a parent and educator, Stephen understands the importance of finding a school that feels like home. Through The Greyson Fine Arts School, he hopes every student will experience the school’s promise to Create. Express. Belong.

FAB STUDIO
Fine Arts, every day.
At Greyson, the arts are not an extra — they are woven into the fabric of the school day. Elementary students participate in two daily Fine Arts & Belonging (FAB) Studio experiences: visual arts, theatre, music, dance, creative design, and performance.
